Eating disorders are illnesses of body image and food intake. Behaviours like fasting, binging or purging are used as coping mechanisms. What is Eating Disorders?
Eating disorders are dangerous disorders, with a number of health implications. Eating disorders are primarily mental health issues driven by negative thoughts and emotions. A person of any size or gender can have an eating disorder. The same goes for class or ethnicity. Some eating disorders may have a weight criterion for diagnosis.
